Fernie

The town of Fernie is located in the spectacular Elk Valley, three and a half hours south-west of Calgary. Surrounded by British Columbia’s towering mountains, the area is blessed with huge snowfalls, great skiing and friendly locals.

Fernie Alpine Resort (the ski area) is located a ten minute drive outside the town of Fernie itself. Shuttle buses making this journey leave at regular intervals from all over town during the winter season. The resort has a small service centre at its base, with the vast majority of accommodation and amenities found in the town.
